Scintilla; noun, an undetectable quantity, a tiny spark, alternately, a sparkling particle.

Scintilla is a knitted hanging that celebrates those intangible sparks, of wonder, of inspiration, of life. Astrobiology is the study of life in the universe. This work is a representation of our modern origin story, depicting the journey of life as we know it. the bands of stitches radiate from the center out, each representing an event, or noteworthy innovation. These stages are not presented strictly in chronological order, nor do they represent all vital phases in this working history.
