Becci Davis

The paintings shared here are inspired by nebulas and mineral specimens. I merge cartography and imagination to recreate this sense of nostalgia and wonder through memories, emotions, and sensory experiences associated with the natural world. Ephemerality and the passage of time are intrinsic to my material choice and process. Exploring the need t memorialize fleeting moments, I signify time through repetitive mark-making and play; a stroke of a palette knife and the pouring of paint.

Becci Davis is an artist who finds inspiration in exploring nature, archives, memory, and connection to place. Born and raised in Georgia, she now calls Providence, Rhode Island home.
